I’m craving a sweet smokey inhale
My shutters are teasing at the hinge
only letting in half of the day
I’ve got my toes crunched under my shins
the cool tea bags aren’t soothing my eyes
As I try to remove the tired from them
The roads are jerking me around
My legs need a shave
There’s too much crowding my mind and stiffening my chest
I can’t give out the energy I want to
Sour spirits are targeting me
I feel like over kneaded dough
My skin is sweating sticky spills
I’ve got snow spits in my hair
The sun is out, waiting for me
But I’m fine watching it dance without me for today
